Ian came off as a pedantic dick. I didnt really feel as if the main characters "connected", they just happened to be in each others sphere for enough time to just one day decide to "make a go of it". Things like Ian telling the heroine "whats her name" yes, she was that forgetable. That she wasnt ready for him & she would let him know when she was ready, when she would ask him about their relationship status was infuriating. On his part for being pretentious enough to think he knows her better than her own mind and on her part for actually accepting it, his words and his possessive actions. All for things to come to an ending that feels rushed and not well fleshed out. To be explained by, Ian knowing she was ready for a relationship with him because she gave her stripper earnings away to probably needy strippers?&@$ Soo the first time she gave a dollar to an pan handler, he should have been all over it????Product details

I loved this book. Ian is meticulous. He does seem to know what Domi needs. However, Vera kept you guessing (as she always does) in this book. Ian was almost to meticulous for his own good. Then there's the one night stand with Sydney. Loved this book.
I just discovered this author and I can’t believe I have never read her books. This was such a beautiful and well written love ❤️ story. Ian and Domi were such a wonderful couple! I just bought the second book and can’t wait to see how their story ends
The chemistry between Ian & Dom was electrifying!! It was like watching a love blossom from the first hello. I can't imagine this is the same Ian from the Breakaway Series but yeah, it is. Especially since I thought he was a bit of a prick to Dean. Well, he certainly redeemed himself. I would love to know what's going on with Domonique's dad though. Until next time....
I asked for this. I felt Ian and Domi had so much chemistry. Ian was the guy I loved to hate in the Breakaway series. I didn't want him coming in between Sydney and Dean but I get the dynamic more now. While Domi was a little immature in parts, she brought out a sensitivity in Ian that was needed. He was totally different with her. He was a swag king otherwise. I just hated it wasn't longer... Vera Roberts is one of my faves and she never disappoints me.

This was s good story but it was full of typos and missing words. Sometimes distracted from the story. Ok read though.
What a beautiful love story. Vera Roberts has a way with words that will have you up all night trying to savory the experience of her works,have you looking at your man with the side eye of he doesn't treat you the way her shoes do and make you fall in love with her heroines like they are your closest kin. Great story, I hated it had to end and I hope we get to see more of this couple they have some unfinished business.
Great read! I anxiously awaited this story. Glad to say that I was not disappointed. We met Dominique and Ian in the Breakaway Series. So glad they got their own story. Ms. Roberts does a masterful job of introducing us to "them", how they met, how the relationship developed, why the "holding pattern"...trying not to give any spoilers. The telling seems to be a bit of a departure from how she usually writes but it's much appreciated because it lays the groundwork and explains the tension from the previous books...no you don't necessarily have to read the others but it makes the journey even more enjoyable. My only complaint? I really, really, want more. All in all a very sweet love story! Thanks Vera Roberts!
